Juneteenth Weekend in Hudson, NY

Posted on Fri,Jun 17, 2022Mon,Jun 27, 2022 by Trixie Starr

Hey Hudson! What are you doing this weekend?

A year a two ago, when there weren’t many events happening (OMG, look at the list below now!), I had time to go out and do some research and have fun. If you’re hot and humid, then check out my post, Cooling Off In Hudson, NY. This list is still good. Things don’t change THAT often, here, no matter what people say…

Comedians Shawn Hollenbach and Rachel Feinstein at Poured Candle Bar this past Wednesday.

Rachel’s Feinstein’s show at Poured Candle Bar this past week was not for the faint of heart. Does that matter in Hudson? In our little town with the big red light district?

Shawn Hollenbach, Ricky Tiscareno, Rachel Feinstein, and Dennis Green
at Poured Candle Bar

Shocking! Rachel throws change at her naked husband right after sex, and as a Jew, stood on line to receive the eucharist wafer at a Catholic Mass – only to be stopped by her husband’s very Catholic family. It was a great show – another risqué show for a usually mild-mannered candle and wine bar.

Sign up for POTTY MOUTH with drag queen Sherry Vine happening in July. Poured Candle Bar is lit!

Waterfront Wednesdays starts this week
Wednesday, June 29th at 5pm.

Here’s Sam Merrett on the Apollonina to tell you more.

Are you curious about what they sell at the Wednesday Farmers’ Market?
Check out the pics here!

See you out there Hudson!
Have fun!
Trix

RECOMMENDED:
Click here for pictures from last year’s Barn 54 party – and learn more about this year’s party, “A Midsummer Night’s Supreme Dream.”
Last year, there was this totally amazing event, Barn 54. So much fun! I love a dance party (that’s over by 10pm). Have a drink. Meet some friends. Dance. Go home. FUN! The same group is doing it again at Taconic Ridge Farm. You have to get your tickets now. It’ll be June 25th in oh-so-gay-ish Hillsdale.

NEW: I will be there doing drag queen tarot card readings! You definitely have to go now! MADAME TRIXIE knows all!
