Citiot

Citiot

Pim Zeegers and Gertjan Meijer, owners of Citiot in Catskill, NY

If you've ever read through a local facebook group, you'll know that the term, "Citiot" is not a term of endearment.  However, that did not stop Pim Zeegers and Gertjan Meijer from opening up a coffee shop/retail/art/co-working space on Main Street in Catskill, NY.  "There's something for everybody," says Pim.

Pim and Gertjan, originally from The Netherlands, moved to Greene county full time during the pandemic.  They always wanted to open up a shop, and with some help from the local organizations, such as the Chamber of Commerce, Citiot became a reality.

There's a coffee bar with treats, retail gift displays, and to the left, a co-working space with desks, a large table, and small rooms for private phone calls.  The co-working space does not require an annual membership.  The rates are $25 for a half day or $40 for a full day.

The food available is either locally-produced or imported from Europe.    You can find Green county's "Fire Cider" and dutch treats such as stroopwafels - put them on top of your coffee mug and eat them warm!

The space is very community-oriented and you'll find lots of flyers about local events (including Trixie's Walking Map!)

Check them out.  They are fun totally "Catskillin' it!"
