FREE ONLINE POETRY WORKSHOPS
The Flow Chart Foundation is offering another series of free, online CLOSE READINGS IN A VIRTUAL SPACE poetry workshops. The spring 2021season features poets Mónica de la Torre, Eléna Rivera, Carl Phillips, giovanni singleton, Shane McCrae, and Edwin Torres (pictured left to right, top to bottom). Sign up for one or all.
This free, participatory virtual series (taking place via Zoom) features some of our greatest poets leading intimate, virtual group reading-throughs of single poems. The poets—neither explicitly teaching nor explaining—serve as expert tour-guides for participants to explore each featured poem as a group. Whether you are already well-versed in the “close reading” of poems or have never been quite sure you’ve been “getting it,”
CLOSE READINGS IN A VIRTUAL SPACE provides a digital gathering for everyone to take a refreshing deep dive into poetry. Each event lasts about an hour and concludes with a brief reading of poetry by the special guest poet.Friday,
