Mahar Real Estate Expands Expertise With Trish Murphy and Charlie Brassard

Posted on Thu,Jan 23, 2025Fri,Jan 24, 2025 by Daniel "Dan" Mahar

At Mahar Real Estate, the year has started with an exciting pace. “This year has not been slow at all,” Principal Broker Daniel ‘Dan’ Mahar says, “We have had a constant stream of buyers and sellers looking to do business.” As the market continues to evolve, the team at Mahar Real Estate remains ahead of the curve, balancing a busy transaction schedule with an unwavering commitment to excellence. Behind the scenes, the engine driving this success is a blend of strategic marketing, market expertise, and a growing roster of exceptional professionals. So far this year, Mahar Real Estate is proud to welcome two outstanding talents, Patricia “Trish” Murphy and Charlie Brassard, whose unique abilities are elevating the company to new heights.

Patricia “Trish” Murphy: A Pillar of Excellence

“Trish is a powerhouse of knowledge and experience,” says Mahar, “she’s been in the business for over thirty years. When she approached me about a position I was shocked she was available!” Her impressive career spans real estate sales, management, and operations, with a deep commitment to superior quality at every level. Most recently, Trish spent the past four years at the Columbia Greene Northern Dutchess MLS office, where she became a cornerstone of the organization, bringing together agents in different counties with events, mastering systems and streamlining processes to ensure seamless transactions across the region.

At Mahar Real Estate, Trish’s primary focus will be to ‘serve as the driving force behind operational excellence.’ While she is reinstating her Real Estate Salesperson License in the coming weeks and will be available to assist clients, her true brilliance lies in optimizing systems, implementing innovative solutions, and creating the infrastructure that powers the team’s success. “Agents have to understand the transactional process but do not need to spend their entire day doing it,” says Mahar, “Only a few offices in our area have managers, let alone administrators. This is what will set us apart. No one knows the back end of the MLS better than Trish. It gives us the ability to serve our clients better.” Trish’s passion for organization and her unwavering dedication to process make her an invaluable leader in the industry.

Charlie Brassard: Leading the Commercial Charge

Charlie Brassard, known affectionately as “Commercial Charlie,” joins Mahar Real Estate with a personal background in commercial leases and property ownership. Specializing in leases, buildings, developments, and restaurants, Charlie is passionate about expanding the company’s presence in the commercial sector. “I want to help in the residential sales side as well of course, it’s an agents true ‘bread and butter here’” says Charlie “but my passion comes from the numbers, growth and development of projects.” His expertise and vision position Mahar Real Estate as a go-to resource for businesses seeking to establish or grow their footprint in the region. “I’ve known Charlie longer than any of my other agents and we have a major project in the works for 2026,” says Mahar, “When he approached me about his real estate license it was a win for us both. There are some shifts happening in the commercial world. Having him take the lead is an incredible asset.”

A Fast Start to the Year

As Mahar Real Estate continues its trajectory of growth, the team remains laser-focused on providing unparalleled service while embracing the opportunities that come with a changing market. “Change is the only constant in life,” as the Greek philosopher Heraclitus reminds us, and the team at Mahar Real Estate is ready to evolve, adapt, and thrive in an ever-shifting landscape. With a growing roster of talent, a bustling transaction schedule, and ambitious projects on the horizon, Mahar Real Estate is not just keeping pace but setting the standard for innovation and professionalism in the Hudson Valley and beyond.
