What Makes an Archive LGBTQ+? The Case of Poet-Activist Muriel Rukeyser

Determining whether a literary archive and its contents ought to be labeled as “LGBTQ+” is not a straightforward matter, even if the author self-identified or was perceived as a member of a sexual or gender minority. Local scholar and author Eric Keenaghan will lead a discussion about this matter, as considered through the lens of twentieth-century, New York City-based poet and activist Muriel Rukeyser (1913-1980).  Registration is appreciated.
