Tomorrow’s Promises
A new work that seamlessly fuses new music, narration, and song by world renowned jazz pianist and newly-appointed Bard College Distinguished Professor of Music, Marcus Roberts.
Joined by the award-winning Modern Jazz Generation band—an extraordinarily talented, multicultural, multigenerational group of musicians whose playing is filled with soul, charisma, and style—the group first came to national attention with its critically-acclaimed 2014 recording, Romance, Swing, and the Blues.
Tomorrow’s Promises was commissioned by a grant from South Arts and funded by the Doris Duke Foundation.
