“Retro-perspective: Paintings” by Jeffrey L. Neumann on display at Art School of Columbia County

Art School of Columbia County is pleased to announce an art exhibit titled: “Retro-perspective: Paintings” by Jeffrey L. Neumann. There will be an opening reception with an Artist Talk on Saturday, May 18 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., all are welcome to attend this free event hosted by ASCC. The exhibit will be on display from May 18 – June 21. Jeffrey Neumann says of his work, “I create deeply personal work that speaks about the soul of America. I have spent a great deal of time on the road. The paintings I make are distilled from that experience. This emotional response is what I try to convey through my paintings. I’m seeking to evoke a certain mood through the limitations of paint”. Jeffry Neumann spent his childhood in New Mexico, California, and Massachusetts. Although he lives in Columbia County, the Southwest continues to inspire his artwork. He visits as often as he can. From 2009 to 2019 he owned, Neumann Fine Art Gallery in Hillsdale, NY, where he represented nine artists.

Art School of Columbia County hosts monthly exhibits of regional artists, both individually and in group exhibits. ASCC founded in 2013, is a non-profit organization dedicated to art education for children, teens and adults year round. Hours to view the exhibit are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and some weekend hours as well.
