Over Forty Natural Winemakers will congregate at Kitty’s in Hudson, New York for a day of  natural wine tasting

 

October 2021 (Hudson, New York) — Chef Zak Pelaccio, Sommelier Lila Holland and Kitty’s today announced the return of the annual Peripheral Natural Wine Fair, which brings together some of the world’s foremost natural wine producers and their distributors on October 30th for a day of wine-tasting in the garden at Kitty’s in Hudson, New York.

 

Peripheral, which was paused in 2020 due to the pandemic, is an unlimited tasting of naturally fermented wines, ciders, beers and other beverages produced with a dedication to sustainability from field to bottle. The tastings will be accompanied by a panel with leading producers, importers and sommeliers that will further delve into the practices and benefits of natural fermentation.

In addition to the all day tasting, there will be  a panel discussion talking about various aspects and issues in the natural wine community such as:

Moderated by Christy Frank, wine shop owner, wine writer and advanced sommelier, the panel will feature: Lee Cambell (Wine Consultant / Estate Representative for Early Mountain Vineyards in Virginia), Tara Hammond (Co-Founder, Black Lamb Wine), Lucy Saintcyr (Founder & Director, Supper Collective; Sommelier), Hank Beckmeyer (Farmer and Winemaker, La Clarine Farm) and Wheeler (a Taurus who likes drinking dark rosés and talking about wine).

Guest chefs from local restaurants such as Gaskins, Cafe Mutton, Bodega Aguilar Real, Ollie’s PIzza, will be serving food at Peripheral along with Kitty’s who will be serving their famous rotisserie chicken and sides.

Peripheral is hosted by Kitty’s located at 60 South Front Street Hudson, New York. Tickets are available for purchase at Peripheral. Tickets are $45 in advance and $50 at the door and include a keepsake tasting booklet with a wine map of where to buy and drink natural wines throughout the Hudson Valley and the Berkshires. The event will run from 12 PM to 5 PM.

Peripheral requires proof of vaccination to enter the event. No refunds will be issued to those who cannot do so.
