Lily Narcissus (Unsolicited Press, 2022) is at once intimate family portrait and panoramic world history that tracks the disastrous consequences of America’s involvement in Asia in the second half of the 20th century. With precision and restraint, Lerner illuminates some essential mystery at the heart of other people and our understanding of them. It’s beautiful, wise, lucid, and disarming. I was seduced, then devastated.” – Andrew Palmer, author of The Bachelor

Based in Hudson, New York, Jonathan Lerner is the author of the novels Alex UndergroundCaught in a Still Place, and the memoir Swords in the Hands of Children. He is a longtime contributing editor at Landscape Architecture Magazine where his work addresses the connections between built and natural environments.

Dave King’s novel The Ha-Ha was a national bestseller and was awarded a 2007 Rome Prize Fellowship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. King’s poems, stories and essays have appeared in The Paris Review, Conjuctions, The Village Voice and the Italian lit mag Nuovi Argomenti, among other venues, and his story “The Stamp Collector,” which appeared first in Fence, won a 2018 O. Henry Prize. King sits on the jury of the Lexi Rudnitzky Poetry Prize and teaches at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
