Annual Book It 5K!

Claverack Free Library and Philmont Public Library

April 2023 – The Claverack Free Library and Philmont Public Library will conduct their Book It 5K joint fundraiser on May 21, 2023.  All are invited to support both Libraries while enjoying a 5K run or walk!

Register by May 12 to receive a free hat, embroidered with the Book-It logo. The hat can be picked up at the Churchtown Firehouse on the day of the 5K event or after the event at one of the libraries if unable to attend.

At the end of the race, age-bracket winners will be awarded prizes. The overall fastest male and female will also receive a fresh homemade loaf of bread.

The proceeds for this event will help each library expand their e-resources and programming.

Library Registration forms may be downloaded from either library website (www.claveracklibrary.org or www.philmontlibrary.com) and mailed to Claverack Free Library, PO Box 417, Claverack NY 12513; The form can also be completed and entered directly from the library website with the registration fee paid using paypal.com.

The registration fee is $25 for adult participants. Kids 18 and under are $10. Registration is also available the day of the race: Day of Race Fee: $30.00 for adults, $15.00 for 18 and younger.
