Manoshi Chitra Neogy is a filmmaker, director, poet, performer, professor, and author. She is a talented and complex artist, determined to push the envelope of artistic expression. She has worked nationally and internationally directing numerous documentaries and short films which have led to countless awards and accolades. An acclaimed poet, Chitra seamlessly and powerfully melds vision, poetry and word art resulting in an alternative, thought-provoking art form. A sensual and poetic journey bridging ancient worlds with our multicultural worlds. Currently an adjunct NYU Tisch Film Professor, Manoshi Chitra Neogy teaches cutting edge courses such as “Film as a Transformative Process” and an “Experimental Production Course”. She is premiering her latest short film I Live in Love at TSL on November 12th at 5:00 pm. Inspired by the song of the same name from her album Wood Orchids. Neogy will also be reading from her novel Blood Words: A Warrior’s Walk soon to be adapted into a feature length film. She will also be screening Blood Words Vignette which won at The World Woman Awards in 2018. Established to honor inspiring films produced with love and high quality by women. There will be a Q&A. Limited number of signed books will be available for purchase along with Wood Orchid CD’s.
