Hudson, NY – 510 Warren Street Gallery is pleased to present the recent works of Nina Lipkowitz in a show titled “Other Worlds” beginning Friday, March 1^st and continuing until Sunday, March 31^st 2024.

A reception with the artist will be held on Saturday, March 2^nd from 2 to 6 pm. All are welcome to join us.

Nina Lipkowitz, an artist who is known for experimenting with different mediums, is unveiling a few new surprises in this latest exhibition. She will be showing her new kinetic, abstract, clay collages some of which rattle. This new body of work will be shown with multi-media works on paper and canvas.

Lipkowitz has circled back to her earthy and earthly beginnings. She began her career carving stone, exploring form and surface before moving onto both hand-built and wheel thrown clay. Later, she discovered her passion for line, color, and paint creating wild iPad prints. Her most recent body of work combines it all; form, surface, line and color. Her hand-built clay “worlds” are heavily textured, glazed and polychromed closed forms. Some use vivid and some more subtle color reminiscent of her multi-media works on paper and canvas.

Her forms take on a metaphysical significance. Each piece is both a meditation and a work of improvisation. This new work is once again inspired by and mined from Likowitz’s rich, unconscious creative world.
