Claverack Free Library Book Sale
The Claverack Free Library, 9 Route 9H, Claverack, will hold its fall book sale on October 11, 12 and 13, rain or shine. Book lovers are invited to browse the region’s largest selection of gently used fiction and non-fiction titles, and children’s books, organized by subject beneath the outside tent and inside the Library community room. Proceeds from this sale contribute to the library’s operating budget and help the library provide vital free services to the community. A special preview reception will be held 4 – 6 p.m. on Friday, October 11th. For a $20 entry fee, buyers will enjoy refreshments and have the first choice of all books offered for sale. The book sale runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct 12th and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct 13th. A food tent will be set up to sell donated baked goods, coffee and cider over the weekend.
On Friday Preview night, book prices range from $4 for hardcover books and larger paperbacks, to $2 for small paperbacks. Books of value as well as oversized books, are priced accordingly and can be purchased in the library community room. Bargain hunters can return on Sunday and purchase large reusable Claverack Library tote bags for $15 and fill them with books for free (specially priced books excluded). Thank you to all who donated books and though book donations are now closed, volunteers are welcome (and needed!) to come help sort under the tent during the week prior to the sale. There are volunteer sign-up sheets at the front desk. For information, contact info@claveracklibrary.org, 518-851-7120, or https://claveracklibrary.org/friends/book-offerings/.
