Hidden Gardens Tour

The self-guided tour of private gardens will take you to Ghent, Chatham and Valatie. A new local flower, vegetable and herb farm also joins the tour this year. And in Austerlitz, the gardens at Steepletop, the home of poet Edna St. Vincent Millay, will be open and back on the tour after a long hiatus. This year’s destinations are an eclectic mix of gardens reflecting the personal style of each homeowner. Visitors will find several of the landscapes feature spectacular views. While in Spencertown, visit the dozens of local vendors who have set up shop at the Market from 9am to 2:30pm to show and sell their wares. And don’t miss the Academy’s White Elephant booth featuring donated items including books, tools, garden furniture, décor, vintage finds with just the right patina, and more bargain-priced goodies.
