The City of Hudson hosts its 30th annual Flag Day Parade this Saturday, June 14th. A cherished Columbia County tradition, the parade will march down Warren Street, culminating in a family-friendly festival at Henry Hudson Riverfront Park.
The celebration kicks off at Noon at the waterfront with a variety of food vendors and activities for children. The main event is the parade, which steps-off at 4:00pm at the 7th Street Park and showcases a vibrant procession of local organizations, veterans’ groups, and marching bands.
Following the parade, the celebration continues at the park with a live performance by The Refrigerators, a very popular horn-fueled party band based in the Capital District. As dusk settles, attendees will be treated to a spectacular fireworks display over the Hudson River.
This year’s event marks a significant milestone โ three decades of celebrating Old Glory in Hudson. Residents and visitors are encouraged to line Warren Street to cheer on the participants and then head to the waterfront for an evening of entertainment and community spirit.
