I’m Gonna Git You Sucka Screening – VHS Pasta Night

VHS PASTA NIGHT – our monthly celebration of films on VHS! Come early from 6-8 PM for amazing retro and artistic vendors selling classic VHS, posters, toys, and so much more! We’ll also be serving up delicious pasta dinner specials (this month – Mac n’ Cheese with Cornbread!), leading up to an amazing pre-show reel of clips, videos, and commercials curated by our friends from Sleepover Trading Co. before our screening of I’m Gonna Git You Sucka at 8:00 PM.

BLACK THEN: AGAIN! is a month-long celebration of Blaxploitation films of the 70s and beyond, curated by Josiah Howard, who literally wrote the book on the film genre!

Film Synopsis:

Jack Spade (Keenen Ivory Wayans) comes home to the ghetto and finds his brother dead from a gold chain overdose. With the help of his hero, John Slade (Bernie Casey), and a team of washed-up crime fighters, Spade declares vengeance on Mr. Big (John Vernon), the white crime leader responsible for selling gold chains on the streets. But Spade realizes that he must take matters into his own hands to finish the job in this zany spoof of 1970s blaxploitation films.
